MUSE is for artists looking for a workshop experience, unlike any art class they've ever taken. Instead of rigid supply lists, predetermined projects, and restrictive business advice, MUSE leans on the transformative power of a group setting and meets you where you are as an artist. This class is all about empowerment and overcoming the hurdles of doubt, despair, and inner criticism.
The Second Muse group will be extremely limited and begins on October 16, 2022!
Each member of MUSE is given the chance to utilize the six weeks to work on a project of their own choosing, whether it be a single painting, a series, or something unique entirely. Or if you're just along for the ride -- that's okay, too! Flexibility and a positive attitude are key.
What to expect
We will meet remotely over the course of six weeks via Zoom Video Conferencing each consecutive Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST. My daughter Logan will help to translate in case my speech impediment gets in the way. Note that days and times are subject to change, but we will always meet during the 9 am to 5 pm EST time period.
Additionally, we will have a dedicated private Facebook group for the class where everyone can share their stages in their journey and support each other. The only supplies you'll ever have to bring to class are a pen, paper, and an open mind.
Wyanne's personalized teaching methods will open up the floor to an active discussion about our mindsets, as well as the progress we've been making on our projects each week. Be prepared for lots of lovetiques, laughter, and most of all, FUN! MUSE is all about the journey, not the outcome -- exploring who you are as an artist with the backing of a supportive group.
The above being said, sometimes class assignments and lessons will change due to the needs of the group.
MUSE is no place for whining or bullying -- disrespect to your peers will not be tolerated! We are a positivity-driven group and ask everyone to keep this in mind when participating.
We hope by the end of this class you'll walk away with a driven mindset, a playful new approach to your work, and maybe even a friend or two!
At the end of Muse, I will be producing a Virtual Show of each student's work and launching it online via my website. Each Zoom session is recorded if you cannot make it, but we really hope you will. Muse is an intimate group coaching experience. Class size is very limited.
