Fluid acrylics have high pigment concentrations, but lower viscosity than artist acrylics. They mix easily into acrylic mediums. Fluid acrylics can be used for watercolor-like techniques, or sprayed with an airbrush. Mix them into heavy gels for impasto techniques. They also find many uses in crafts.

Artist acrylics are designed for painting on canvas, boards, paper, panels, and other prepared surfaces. Highly pigmented, they are generally of a consistency similar to oil paint, preserving brush strokes. They can be used with a variety of painting techniques, including impasto and knife painting.

Reynolds Cut-Rite Wax Paper is manufactured with a triple coating of paraffin wax onto tissue paper. The wax is both forced into the pores of the paper and spread over the outside as a coating. This process gives Reynolds Cut-Rite Wax Paper the strength and moisture resistance that makes it a versatile food wrap and sandwich bag.

Buy at the grocery store. I have purchased at the Dollar Store, but it didn't have enough wax.

In the UK it is known as Edsol Wax Paper.

Create sheer magic in seconds with a Scheewe Resist Stick. Applied to your painting surface like a crayon, it resists all color applied over it, creating a shimmering effect such as the sun’s reflection on water. Each package contains four long lasting Wax Resist Sticks and instructions for use. Nontoxic.

These can usually be found at Michael's or Hobby Lobby in the US.
